September 2009 Information regarding travel in remote parts of Greenland The Government of Greenland takes over administration of the executive order on travel in remote areas of Greenland 1 January 2010. In connection with the new field of responsibility, the Government of Greenland is developing a new web site to host information and application forms. Furthermore, an application fee will be introduced to cover administrative costs in relation to administration of the executive order. July 2009 The Danish Polar Center closed down 1st February 2009 – employees and duties formerly associated with the Danish Polar Center are now integrated into the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation. As part of a restructuring of the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation, the Danish Polar Center closed down on 1st February 2009. DPC’s duties and employees have now been integrated into other departments of the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation.
